B’nai B’rith has released the following statement:

B’nai B’rith condemns the New Year’s Day car bombing of the congregation of the Saints Church in Alexandria, Egypt, killing 21 and wounding 79 attendees of  midnight services.

The outrageous attack against the Egyptian Coptic Christians represents an appalling disregard for human life by the extremists who perpetrated this vicious attack.

Attacks against any religious denomination are unacceptable and continue to worsen religious tensions in the Middle East and surrounding nations.
