Allan J. Jacobs, President
Allan J. Jacobs has been involved with B’nai B’rith for more than 45 years. Deeply committed to the core values of B’nai B’rith, as president Jacobs is now chief spokesman for B'nai B'rith in the worldwide Jewish and general communities. He leads the organization’s efforts to advocate for the global Jewish community and the State of Israel, provide humanitarian aid and promote human rights and senior advocacy initiatives.
Before his election his most recent posts were chairman of the Board of Trustees for the B’nai B’rith Pension Plan, a position he still holds, and chairman of the executive. In that position, Jacobs served as chairman of the Executive Committee and as the direct liaison to regional presidents within the United States, among other responsibilities.
Jacobs has exhibited his commitment to Israel and B’nai B’rith’s public policy agenda in a wide variety of arenas. In the spring of 2011, he led a B’nai B’rith mission to meet with Pope Benedict XVI. He now serves on the Board of Governors of the World Zionist Organization and is a Vice President of the Conference on Material Claims against Germany.
Since his days at AZA (the teenage boys component of the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization) Jacobs has served widely within the organization, from president of the Louie Pickus Waukegan Lodge #933, numerous B’nai B’rith leadership roles in the greater Chicago area and midwestern United States. A member of the Board of Governors since 1980, he served as international vice president, senior vice president, chair of the B’nai B’rith Foundation and international treasurer. In 2006, he received the Moe and Berdie Kudler Award for Outstanding Volunteer Leadership.
A CPA by training, Jacobs works as counsel to Evoy, Kamschulte Jacobs and Co., LLP Certified Public Accountants. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Northern States Financial Corporation and NorStates Bank. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs, past president of the Lake County Estate Planning Council, and he currently serves as chairman of the audit committee of the city of Lake Forest, Ill., where he resides.
Gary P. Saltzman, Chairman of the Executive
Gary P. Saltzman of Colorado has been involved with B’nai B’rith ever since he served as president of the Denver Lodge. He remains active locally as a member of his lodge board, and has served as president of Western Frontier Region.
In 1989, Saltzman was awarded the B’nai B’rith Label A. Katz Young Leadership award. He has served on the, Budget, and Strategic Planning Committees, and as chairman of the B’nai B’rith Youth Commission.
Saltzman is a Certified Public Accountant and co-owner of Wenner, Silvestain & Company, LLC in Englewood, Colo. He is also a Registered Investment Advisor with WS Investment Advisors, LLC, which he co-founded in 1999.
Ted Greenfield, Senior Vice President
Ted Greenfield of Canada is a 50-year member who has held a variety of positions at all levels of the organization.
Internationally, Greenfield has served on the Executive Committee since 2007, serving on the Strategic Development Committee and on the board of the Center for Public Policy, as international vice president from 1992-96, and as co-chairman of the International Council from 1986-88. He is also a member of the International Court of Appeals and trustee of the Henry Monsky Foundation. Additionally, he served as president of B’nai B’rith Canada from 1980-81, culminating a long career with many positions in the organization’s Canadian district.
Greenfield is a chartered accountant at Fuller Landau in Montreal and is a member of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Quebec and of the Canadian Tax Foundation.
Yves-Victor Kamami, Senior Vice President
Yves-Victor Kamami, M.D. a B’nai B’rith member for 30 years, became the first secretary general of B’nai B’rith France in 1999, and was elected president of B’nai B’rith France in 2000.
Dr. Kamami attended the Durban Review Conference in Geneva in April 2009, and has strongly spoken out against misinformation, publicizing reports on distorted history in Palestinian schoolbooks, and misleading films. He has served as the vice president of B’nai B’rith Europe and B’nai B’rith France, and has served on the Executive Committee of B’nai B’rith Europe since 1991.
A world-renowned surgeon who has developed revolutionary procedures and has written several books, Kamami lives in Paris.
Rosalind Klein, Senior Vice President
Rosalind Klein, a resident of Northridge, Calif., is serving her second term as senior vice president. Klein joined B’nai B’rith in 1990, after the B’nai B’rith Constitution was amended to admit woman to membership. In 2000, Klein was elected the first female president of the Southern California Region. Two years later, Klein was elected senior vice president, the first woman ever to hold that position, and served in that capacity until 2006.
Klein has held several major committee chairs, most recently National Leadership chair. Prior to that, Klein was chair of the Center for Senior Services, the Label A. Katz Young Leadership Awards committee, the Klutznick Consultant Selection committee and the West Coast Senior Advocacy advisory board.
Klein is married to Howard Klein, a prominent California probate attorney, and she managed his office for 18 years prior to her retirement in 2004.
Roberto Nul, Senior Vice President
Roberto Nul of Argentina has been active in B’nai B’rith for over 30 years. Nul has served as district president, B’nai B’rith International leadership chair and as a member of the organization’s Strategic Planning Committee. In 2002, he was named Best District President, and was awarded the B’nai B’rith Argentina Merit Award in 2005.
Nul, who had previously served 30 years with IBM, is president of Franklin Covey Argentina, the local branch of an international management and leadership development firm.
Bruce Pascal, Senior Vice President
Bruce Pascal of Maryland has been active in B'nai B'rith since his BBYO (B’nai B’rith Youth Organization) days. Particularly active in overseas diplomacy, he has traveled on B’nai B’rith humanitarian missions to the Jewish community of Cuba three times has represented B’nai B’rith at meetings with foreign diplomats.
Pascal has held many leadership positions within B’nai B’rith since 2004, including the chair of philanthropic giving, the vice chair of the Center for Human Rights and Public Policy, and as a member of the Executive Committee, and the Strategic Development Committee. He is a 2009 recipient of The Moe and Berdie Kudler Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service.
Professionally, Pascal is the executive vice president of CB Richard Ellis, a commercial real estate firm with more than 250 locations worldwide.
Stephen B. Zorn, Senior Vice President
Stephen B. Zorn’s long history with the Tucker Grant Lodge in Michigan fostered his 45-year association with B’nai B’rith. There he rose to the position of vice president, and has since served two terms as president of the Great Lakes Region. . He remains a member of the Great Lakes Executive Committee.
Zorn joined the Tucker Grant Lodge shortly after marrying his wife, Lila.
Zorn is on his second career as a telecommunications consultant after being president and CEO of his own software company for 25 years, currently working for Abilita in West Bloomfield, Mich.
Seth J. Riklin, Treasurer
Seth J. Riklin of Texas has an extensive background with the B’nai B’rith senior housing program. He served as co-chair of the B’nai B’rith International Senior Housing Committee, and as president of B’nai B’rith Goldberg Towers, federally subsidized housing for seniors, in Houston.
A practicing attorney and accountant, he is principal of Seth J. Riklin & Associates, PLLC, in Sugar Land, Tex. Riklin also serves as chief financial officer and general counsel to Hill Country Wind Power, L.P.
Riklin’s father, Sam J. Riklin, served as president of the San Antonio, Texas, B’nai B’rith lodge.
Bill Peirez, Chief Justice
Bill Peirez, president of B’nai B’rith’s Metronorth Region, is serving as chief justice at the B’nai B’rith Court of Appeals, the body which judges internal disputes. He had been acting chief justice for over a year before his official appointment, and acted as a judge under two presidents.
In 1980, Peirez received the prestigious B’nai B’rith Label A. Katz Award for Outstanding Young Leadership. During his 46 years with B’nai B’rith, he has served as chairman of the Evaluation and Monitoring Committee and the B’nai B’rith Camps Committee, a B’nai B’rith liaison to a committee of regional and community leaders, a longtime member of the B’nai B’rith Board of Governors and executive committee, and an international vice president.
Peirez is a retired attorney who specialized in real estate, landlord and tenant law, contracts, corporate law, partnership law, buying and selling of businesses, and wills. He lives in New York.
