B’nai B’rith Leaders from 11 Countries in Geneva to Monitor U.N. Anti-Racism Conference

A delegation of 50 B’nai B’rith International leaders, representing 11 of the more than 50 countries in which B’nai B’rith has a presence, will monitor proceedings at the controversial United Nations Durban Review Conference (DRC), or ‘Durban II’, in Geneva. The B’nai B’rith delegation, led by Honorary President Richard D. Heideman, Chairman of U.N. Affairs Ambassador Joseph Harari, and Executive Vice President Daniel S. Mariaschin, will be part of the International Jewish Caucus, a coalition of non-governmental organizations from around the world.

The Caucus will hold a press briefing on Monday, 20 April 2009, at 2:45 p.m., at the Club Suisse de la Presse (La Pastorale, Route de Ferney 106) informing journalists about the on-going developments at the Durban Review Conference and related side events. Among the speakers at this press briefing will be leading members of the Jewish Caucus organizations and eminent personalities in the field of human rights.
