B’nai B’rith International (BBI) extends its congratulations to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the new leadership in Israel.
BBI hopes that consensus can be reached on critical issues and that stability will be maintained by this new government.
Netanyahu assumes the top post in Israel at what can be considered one of the most complex and challenging times in the history of the region. BBI wishes Netanyahu well as he deals with many difficult situations at home and abroad.
“To be sure, Benjamin Netanyahu becomes prime minister at a difficult time,” BBI President Moishe Smith said. “But he has reached out across multiple party lines to form a coalition that is representative of the Israeli population.”
Added BBI Executive Vice President Daniel S. Mariaschin, “We will work with the Netanyahu government in advocating for a strong Israel and in interpreting its challenges and accomplishments.”
B’nai B’rith International has worked closely with the various Israeli governments since the creation of the Jewish state in 1948. Through the years, BBI leaders have met with prime ministers and top government officials to discuss issues pertinent to Israel and the Jewish people.
