TO BE READ ALOUD

How do you count to six million? Six million lives. Six million Jewish lives destroyed, along with the deeds and dreams that made each unique.

The magnitude of the Holocaust is hard to grasp…

That’s why B’nai B’rith International partnered with the B’nai B’rith World Centerin Jerusalem, the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, and Israel’s Speaker of the Knesset to co-sponsor the “Unto Every Person There is a Name” program. B’nai B’rith International is proud to welcome AEPi into this campus program.

Names of the Holocaust victims will be recited at this year’s “Unto Every Person There is a Name” event, which is a worldwide, annual Holocaust commemoration coordinated in North America by B’nai B’rith since 1989.

By reciting their names, ages, and birthplaces, we honor the memory of those who perished in the Shoah. Before they were imprisoned and murdered, they were sons, daughters, children, parents. They worked as doctors, bakers, nurses, rabbis, artists, and scholars. Each one had the potential to make a family, to change the world.
