The B’nai B’rith Real Estate’s Young Development Group (YDG) held a benefit for B’nai B’rith International’s (BBI) senior housing initiatives in New York on March 12.
Mark Olshan, director of the Center for Senior Services, represented BBI at the event, “Forum at the Top,” which was held at the historic Times Square Building. Nearly 150 people attended and all proceeds went to BBI senior housing.
“This contribution from the Young Development Group is a perfect example of the intergenerational work that BBI does,” said Olshan. “This group believes in what we do in the area of senior housing, they want to learn more, and they want to support our continuing efforts.”
The Young Development Group was created last year as a networking group for 20-30 year old real estate professionals. Beyond socializing and philanthropic donations, these public events offer an opportunity for New York developers to showcase their projects and meet and mentor the younger generation in the field.
“Forum at the Top” was the first benefit held in a commercial building, and the BBI Young Development Group will be planning similar events every few months, according to “Forum” chair, Misha Haghani.
