B'nai B'rith International (BBI) presented Be'er Sheva Mayor Rubik Danilovich with a 12-foot scroll containing messages in support of Israel on Feb. 17. Shown with Rubik are BBI President Moishe Smith and BBI Executive Vice President Daniel S. Mariaschin.

The messages were written during the Jan. 8 Israel Rally at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Detroit, which was sponsored in part by B'nai B'rith's Great Lakes Region. The attendees also wrote cards and letters, which were then distributed to IDF soldiers and residents of Sderot, an Israeli town targeted frequently by rocket attacks from Gaza.

Alan Schneider, director of BBI's World Center in Jerusalem, organized the event.
