B'nai B'rith International (BBI) donated 10,000 copies of its informational booklet, "Smarter Kids - Safer Kids," to the Los Angeles BEST Afterschool Enrichment Program.
The booklet, published by BBI, acts to facilitate a dialogue between caregivers and elementary-aged children on important topics such as sexual abuse, talking to strangers, and staying home alone.
Sixty copies of "Smarter Kids - Safer Kids," both in English and in Spanish, were delivered to each of the 160 schools affiliated with L.A.'s BEST.
Carla Sanger, president and CEO of L.A.'s BEST, thanked B'nai B'rith in a letter for helping to make a difference for children with the greatest need in the city.
"B'nai B'rith is proud of our partnership with L.A.'s BEST to bring important education and safety tools to this community," said Howard Rothman, chair of B'nai B'rith International's Center for Community Action.
