The Washington, DC chapter of B'nai B'rith International's (BBI) Young Professional Network hosted a discussion led by Jon Heisler, principal at Bernstein Global Wealth Management, at the Romanian Embassy.
The talk, "The Global Economy and the Young Professional," dealt with tips for investing in the stock market and predictions for the near future.
He also answered questions from young professionals on the merits of buying a house in this economy and how to organize money to pay off various fees like student loans and credit card debt.
The program was held at the Romanian Embassy because of the country's rising status in Europe, according to Center for Human Rights and Public Policy Deputy Director Eric Fusfield. In his remarks at the program, Fusfield also touched on B'nai B'rith's growing presence in Europe.
Romanian ambassador Adrian Vierita also spoke briefly on Romania's relationship with the United States and Israel.
