B’nai B’rith International has issued the following statement:

B’nai B’rith International strongly condemns the vandalism of an Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) fraternity house at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. Spray-painted swastikas on the front of the AEPi fraternity house were found during the evening of Oct. 4, following Yom Kippur.

The student body must rebuke this disgusting display of anti-Semitism. There is no place for such hateful imagery, especially on a college campus where tolerance and diversity must always be embraced.

B’nai B’rith stands in solidarity with our partner organization AEPi.

Emory University President Jim Wagner swiftly denounced the “abhorrent act” and reaffirmed his university’s “continuing commitment to raise awareness and prevent all forms of violence and discrimination.”

We urge Wagner and the local police to investigate the situation and bring the perpetrators of this hate crime to justice.
