B’nai B’rith International President Gary P. Saltzman and Executive Vice President Daniel S. Mariaschin wrote to members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Ed Royce (R-Calif.) and Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.), expressing deep concern over the omission of the State of Israel on the U.S. visa website.

Saltzman and Mariaschin write:

The United States Visa Services website … names the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv and the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem as places where visa appointments can take place. Neither one of those U.S. diplomatic outposts, however, is identified as being located in Israel. In fact, the word “Israel” does not appear on the website. Nor does the Israeli flag appear alongside the flags of other countries.
