Smarter Kids - Safer Kids

Smarter Kids, Safer Kids, English editionEducating children about potential dangers is often difficult and uncomfortable. To ensure their children's safety, parents must address frightening and disturbing subjects with them.

For that reason, B'nai B'rith has published Smarter Kids - Safer Kids to guide parents through these discussions. Available in both English and Spanish, the guide contains lessons, straightforward talk, and role-playing exercises on uneasy topics, including sexual abuse, avoidance of suspicious strangers, and the dangers on the Internet. Chapters also deal with misplaced trust and provide practical information for a child left alone at home.

Smarter Kids - Safer Kids, SpanishThe guide contains chapters on hard-to-discuss topics including what to do when people you trust do something wrong, as well as practical information about handling being home alone.

Regarded by professionals as an excellent guide, B'nai B'rith has partnered with community agencies around the United States to provide this resource to parents. With grants from major corporations such as the Station Casinos, the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, and Allstate Insurance, B'nai B'rith is implementing the program in public forums, including schools and community fairs.
