Seder Kits for Soldiers and Buddy Bears for Military FamiliesB'nai B'rith International funds the Solo Seder kit packages provided by the Jewish Welfare Board Jewish Chaplains Council to military personnel serving abroad. Supplementing the kosher food from the Defense Department, each package contains a "taste of home," including the traditional items of Passover, as well as for other holiday observances. A $25 donation pays for a Seder package and contributes to additional projects for the military and their families.
B'nai B'rith and the Jewish Chaplains Council are coordinating a program for children who have parents deployed overseas. B'nai B'rith has created a special version of its Buddy Bear, which sports a desert camouflage t-shirt. The Jewish Chaplains Council has distributed nearly 100 bears to children in the United States and overseas. An $18 donation provides a comforting and companionable bear. Contact Us
