B’nai B’rith International Honorary Presidents Roundtable Discussion
Breaking News
The B’nai B’rith Young Leadership Network will host a discussion with Eliav Benjamin, counselor for political affairs at the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C. This forum will be exclusive to young professionals and will offer the opportunity to learn about the BDS Movement, Israel bias on college campuses, and much more.
B’nai B’rith Latin America will be hosting a conversation with Ambassador Richard Schifter, chairman of the American Jewish International Relations Institute and a former-U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs, on “How the Votes of Latin American States Help Maintain the UN’s Anti-Israel Propaganda Apparatus.”
From 1981 to 2001 Schifter held a series of senior foreign policy positions in the U.S. government. Representing the United States in the United Nations (UN) he gained an intimate knowledge of the workings of the UN and in particular the efforts made by a grouping of states to ignore the humanitarian principles set forth in the UN Charter and instead use the UN solely to embarrass the US and delegitimize Israel.

To commemorate our 170th anniversary, world-renowned historian Dr. Pamela Nadell, chair of the Department of History and director of the Jewish Studies Program at American University and a consultant to the National Museum of American Jewish History on Philadelphia’s Independence Mall, will speak on how B’nai B’rith played a unique and pivotal role at key moments in world history.
