Each year, B’nai B’rith International recognizes the humanitarian and philanthropic efforts of key community and corporate leaders from around the world. We understand that doing well in business comes with a responsibility to do well in the community, and we seek out companies and their leaders who understand that giving back should be a vital component of any corporation’s mandate and vision.

We had several successful events this year recognizing outstanding individual and corporate leadership.

Our 2019 highly successful National Health Care dinner was held in June, with Dr. Steven M. Safyer, president and CEO of Montefiore Medicine, as the recipient of the 2019 National Healthcare Award, which has recognized exceptional trailblazers in the health care industry for more than 30 years. With this award B’nai B’rith underscores the outstanding work of health care leaders and corporations that established the standards for health and education initiatives. The benchmarks implemented by these renowned experts have improved the lives of many people and communities around the world.

The recipients of the B’nai B’rith National Healthcare Award have shown a history of dedicated leadership and outstanding civic involvement in the health care field and in the broader community. Award winners support philanthropic causes benefiting health, youth, seniors and education programs.

In 2019, we awarded Harsha V. Agadi, president & CEO of Crawford & Company®, with a 2019 Distinguished Achievement Award.  

Also in 2019, Richard Robinson, chairman and CEO of Scholastic, was awarded a Distinguished Achievement Award for his industry leadership, driven by the mission of supporting the intellectual and personal growth of every child while promoting tolerance around the globe through high-quality children’s literature and classroom magazines which present current issues in an age-appropriate and thought-provoking way

The year ended with a Distinguished Achievement Award to Nestlé USA and CEO Steve Presley.
