B’nai B’rith World Center director Alan Schneider was on hand at the Eilat Naval Base on March 10 as a guest of the Prime Minister’s Office for the unveiling of the Iranian arms shipment intercepted the week before by the Israeli Navy in the Red Sea.
The cache of 40 M-302 rockets, 181 122mm mortar shels and 400,000 rounds of machine gun bullets found hidden under bags of cement marked “Made in Iran,” was destined for terrorists in the Gaza Strip to use against Israeli civilian populations.
Speaking in front of the exhibition to 70 foreign journalists, 30 military attaches and other invited guests, Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed exasperation with the lack of international condemnation of Iran in the face of this blatant violation of international law and convention.
