a letter from cEO Daniel S. Mariaschin: reflecting on b’nai b’rith international’s work in 2017 and looking ahead to 2018

Picture

Dear friends,

I am very proud of the work B’nai B’rith accomplished this year.

When the United Nations and international bodies adopted nearly 20 anti-Israel resolutions, B’nai B’rith worked quickly to take action and condemn those resolutions.

When elected officials in Washington, D.C. were debating legislation that could cut funding from low-income seniors, B’nai B’rith worked tirelessly to advocate with top policy makers as the leading Jewish voice in senior issues, social security and health care, while continuing to sponsor affordable housing for over 8,000 residents in 28 supportive communities throughout the United States.

When communities were hit with natural disasters, when important human rights needed an advocate and when YOUR voice needed to be heard across the globe, B’nai B’rith was able to respond immediately because of your support.

It is only through the generosity of you, our donors, members and supporters, that B’nai B’rith was able to tackle every issue as it arose throughout 2017. But new issues will most certainly arise in the year 2018, and we need your support TODAY to provide the resources needed to address them.

Thank you for your generosity, and I look forward to your continued support of our work in the new year. A year we hope will bring you happiness, good health and prosperity.

Sincerely,

P.S. If you have already made your 2017 gift, but feel you might be affected by changes in the tax laws for 2018, consider making your 2018 gift before year’s end to take the charitable deduction this year as permitted by law.
