Europe
Since 1997, B’nai B’rith International has been advocating, through its Office of European Union Affairs, for Jewish and pro-Israel priorities before European Union institutions and NATO as one of the leading Jewish organizations in Brussels.
Alina Bricman has joined the B’nai B’rith staff as our new Director of European Union Affairs. Alina will be based in our Brussels office, where she will replace former Director Benjamin Naegele. She can be reached at abricman@bnaibrith.org.
The Brussels office devotes its efforts to challenges such as the fight against anti-Semitism, strengthening EU-Israel relations and promoting Holocaust restitution and remembrance.
B’nai B’rith works closely with the European Parliament as an official member of the advisory board to the European Parliament Working Group on Anti-Semitism as well as the European Commission as a member of the High Level Group on Combating Racism, Xenophobia and Discrimination.
B’nai B’rith also organizes and co-hosts regular conferences at the European Parliament and Commission.
In addition, B’nai B’rith leads special delegation trips for members of the European Parliament and diplomats to Israel and closely coordinates its efforts with the Israeli mission and embassy in Brussels.
B’nai B’rith representatives advocate for the organization at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris.
