The B'nai B'rith Omaha Breadbreakers Luncheon series continues on July 23, as they're joined by community shaliach Eliad Eliyahu.

Eliyahu will discuss living in Akko, Israel, a mixed Arab–Israeli city, and provide an update on the situation on the ground and politics surrounding the current unrest in Israel.

Per usual, the luncheon will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Blumkin Home Auditorium, 323 S. 132nd St., on the JCC Campus. Kosher lunch is available for $11.

B'nai B'rith Europe Solidarity Mission Arrives In Jerusalem

A six-member solidarity mission consisting of members of the newly-elected Executive Committee of B'nai B'rith Europe will visit Israel this Tuesday-Thursday (July 22-24) to be briefed by government officials on the ongoing conflict with Hamas, learn firsthand about the realities faced by Israelis in the most heavily shelled areas and to convey from the organization a message of unity with the people of Israel. 

Among other things, the mission is scheduled to meet with government officials, local representatives and leading academics. 

On Wednesday the group will travel to the South for meetings with local officials and residents in the cities of Ashkelon and  Sderot, and in the Merhavim and Hof Ashkelon regional councils and will visit an Iron Dome battery. 

The mission program is arranged by the B'nai B'rith World Center in Jerusalem, B'nai B'rith's permanent presence in Jerusalem and public affairs arm in Israel.

Members of the mission are: Daniel Citone, Vice President, B'nai B'rith Europe (Italy), Valerie Achache, Vice President, BBE (Belgium), Lionel Sebban, Treasurer, BBE (France), Yona Delouya, President, B'nai B'rith South France, Solomon Bali, Executive Board member, BBE (Bulgaria) and Deborah Abisror, Director, BBE (France).

B’nai B’rith Europe – an affiliate of B’nai B’rith International - is represented in 29 countries throughout Europe, with over 5.000 members. With an office based in Brussels it is represented at the European Parliament, the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, the United Nations in Geneva and UNESCO in Paris.

28th Annual Cleveland B'nai B'rith Health Run - 5K and 1 mile

The 28th Annual B'nai B'rith Health Run will take place on Sunday, July 20, 2014. This 5K/1mi run/walk helps support health education throughout Greater Cleveland.

TIME: 1 Mile Run/Walk 8:30 am   5K Run 9:00 am

LOCATION: Rascal House Pizza - 2255 Warrensville Center Rd     44118

DIRECTIONS: 3 miles West of I-271 Cedar Rd exit in Beachwood to Cedar & Warrensville in University Hts. South on Warrensville. Free Parking in University Square Garage

The B'nai B'rith Omaha Breadbreakers Luncheon series continues on July 16, as they're joined by retired Omaha police officer Mark Langan.

Langan will discuss his undercover life in law enforcement and discuss his book “Busting Bad Guys: My True Crime Stories of Bookies, Drug Dealers and Ladies of the Night,” a best-selling true crime tale.

The B'nai B'rith Omaha Breadbreakers Luncheon series continues on July 30, as they're joined by Mike Silverman, CEO of the Jewish Federation of Omaha.

In addition to his work with the federation, Silverman recently took his first trip to Israel, and wishes to discuss why he is excited to go again.
