![]() The B'nai B'rith Omaha Breadbreakers Luncheon series continues on July 23, as they're joined by community shaliach Eliad Eliyahu. Eliyahu will discuss living in Akko, Israel, a mixed Arab–Israeli city, and provide an update on the situation on the ground and politics surrounding the current unrest in Israel. Per usual, the luncheon will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Blumkin Home Auditorium, 323 S. 132nd St., on the JCC Campus. Kosher lunch is available for $11. ![]() A six-member solidarity mission consisting of members of the newly-elected Executive Committee of B'nai B'rith Europe will visit Israel this Tuesday-Thursday (July 22-24) to be briefed by government officials on the ongoing conflict with Hamas, learn firsthand about the realities faced by Israelis in the most heavily shelled areas and to convey from the organization a message of unity with the people of Israel. Among other things, the mission is scheduled to meet with government officials, local representatives and leading academics. On Wednesday the group will travel to the South for meetings with local officials and residents in the cities of Ashkelon and Sderot, and in the Merhavim and Hof Ashkelon regional councils and will visit an Iron Dome battery. The mission program is arranged by the B'nai B'rith World Center in Jerusalem, B'nai B'rith's permanent presence in Jerusalem and public affairs arm in Israel.
