MIAMI — B’nai B’rith of South Florida and more than 200 guests will salute men and women of excellence in a first-ever event at 7 p.m., Oct. 20 at the new One Event Place. Honorees include distinguished individuals and couples with Latin American ties to the city: Nancy and Morris Antar, Fanny and Samuel Assael; Elena and Joseph Edelman; Jennie and David Serur; Beth Spiegel; Moishe Smith; Irene and Daniel Belozerkovsky, of blessed memory; Ester and Salomon Garazi, of blessed memory; Jose Guttman, of blessed memory; Rachel Lior, of blessed memory. The event marks the official induction of its founding members with Gina Strauss as its first president. 

Uri Strauss, AVP Store Manager at TD Bank and lodge executive board member, said, “Miami is far more than a sunny retirement area. Our location and economic impact place Miami in an important position not only in South Florida but in the Latin American hemisphere. It is most significant that we are honoring so many important individuals who’ve made Miami such a dynamic place for Jewish life.”

Sponsorships range from $350 to $5,000. Featured entertainment includes artists of the Spanish Ballet of Pepe Bronce.
