It’s that time of year again! Join us for our annual camping trip and Leadville Cemetery Clean-up, June 23-25. For updated information and to RSVP for carpooling, camping, or the potluck dinner, visit our website at Leadville 2017

SCHEDULE

  • Friday Night, June 23: We will be camping at the Father Dyer Campground on Turquoise Lake. We will provide wine and/or grape juice and challah. Please bring your own food and beverage for Friday night. There will be a campfire AND SMORES!!!

    We have reserved campsites 10, 11, 13, and 15 and easily have space for 30+ campers. Reserve your spot now at Leadville 2017.

  • Saturday, June 24: Shabbat services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Temple Israel, followed by oneg; options for the day include hiking, exploring, hanging out at the campground or walking around town. 
  • Saturday Night: Dinner will be at 4:00 p.m. at the Father Dyer Campground. We will have a kosher-style dairy potluck organized by the Young Leadership followed by Havdalah. 

    For those that are interested there will be an opportunity to serve the hungry in the Leadville community at St. George Episcopal Church at 5:00 p.m. 

  • Sunday, June 25: We will begin the annual clean up of the Leadville Hebrew Cemetery at 9:00 am. Free continental breakfast will be available for volunteers. 

    A graveside memorial service honoring those early Jewish pioneers buried in the Leadville Hebrew Cemetery will be conducted at 11 am. 

    Following the memorial service, B’nai B’rith will provide a kosher lunch to thank all volunteers for their hard work and devotion to this annual mitzvah.

    Clean up will continue throughout the day until approximately 4:00 pm.
