Maduro has used Operation Protective Edge as a platform to aggressively denounce Israel, reportedly accusing the Jewish state of “a war of extermination against the Palestinian people,” and reportedly comparing Israel’s incursion into the Gaza Strip to the Nazis at Auschwitz.
