Southern California: Knesset B'nai B'rith
The story of Southern California's Knesset B'nai B'rith starts with a social club for Jewish couples around thirty years ago.
Since then, this social club has grown to include well over one hundred members with monthly meetings that include speakers and performers such as magicians and singers, aside from general business. These meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm in the San Fernando Valley. The community also fosters several small Special Interest groups. Depending on the group, these meet either monthly or bi-monthly. These meetings all occur in conjunction with Knesset B'nai B'rith's three major annual social functions. In addition, there is a special mystery weekend group called Happy Wanderers that meets twice a year. The couples who plan the weekends select a mystery destination and hotel ahead of time, always within a two-hour drive, then the group departs for the mystery location, where fun events have been pre-planned for them.
