Welcome to the Omaha Community of B’nai B’rith International, otherwise known as B’nai B’rith Omaha. At the heart of our community’s Jewish activity is the Henry Monsky Lodge, which took root in Omaha in 1884 when 35 Jewish men launched the first B’nai B’rith Lodge in the river city. The Henry Monsky Lodge sponsors programs and provides scholarships that help instill moral and ethical values and a sense of Jewish identity. The lodge is a proud benefactor of BBYO and Jewish community interests.

We have over 250 active members who support community causes through our various programs and special events. One of our signature programs, the Breadbreakers Speaker Series, has been presenting interesting speakers every Wednesday since it began in 1950. We also host our annual Charity Sports Banquet, which is now in its 54th year.

Please, join us for one of our many fundraisers or have lunch with us at Breadbreakers. We look forward to getting to know you!

President’s Message

Greetings to everyone,

Welcome to the web page of the Henry Monsky Lodge in Omaha. We hope you will peruse our pages and learn a little more about us. Our lodge has a very proud history and tradition in Omaha, and we are one of the most active B’nai B’rith lodges in the country. We hold informative and interesting weekly luncheons, sponsor service programs, and produce cultural arts programs.

Through our annual sports banquet, the largest in the area, we offer entertainment and information, and recognize the most outstanding male and female high school seniors for their excellence in scholarship and athleticism. Through our banquet, we raise money to support our Jewish youth and creative programming.

For your convenience, I’ve included a list of activities we produce on the bottom of our home page. From these activities, we believe that you will be able to find something meaningful to do your part for the betterment of our community.

That is why we would like you to consider joining Henry Monsky Lodge and becoming an official part of our organization. As a member, your support will help sustain us locally, nationally, and internationally. In Omaha, your membership bolsters Jewish young people in our B’nai B’rith Youth Organization. It helps us provide educational programs and many other activities. Your membership also helps us provide scholarships for teens.

Our parent organization, B’nai B’rith International, is the global voice of the Jewish people and takes care of Jewish interests in Europe and South America and wherever Jews are threatened.

Through our many lodge activities, you can be heard, you can be effective, and you can be involved! Won’t you please join in and help us make a difference. Please free to call me for more information at 402-496-2021.
