On Nov. 15 the University of Michigan’s Student Government voted in favor of a resolution urging the school to cease investing in companies that do business in Israel. This is a clear and concerted effort to demonize and delegitimize the Jewish state.
The meeting lasted for about eight hours and 23 members voted for it, 17 against and five abstained.
The vicious, ongoing campaign by anti-Israel activists in the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement singles out Israel for isolation from the international community. We urge the University of Michigan administration to not move forward on this motion.
