PictureRolling Stones land at Ben Gurion Airport

B’nai B’rith International has issued the following statement:

B’nai B’rith commends The Rolling Stones for standing up to the Boycott, Divestments and Sanctions (BDS) campaign to hold its first ever concert in Israel.

In its Tel Aviv show this week, the legendary band will even accommodate those celebrating the holiday of Shavuot and begin the concert later than planned.

Various performers have come under pressure to cancel concert plans in Israel in solidarity with the boycott campaign.

B’nai B’rith commends other artists who have stood up to the anti-Israel efforts, such as:

Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, Alicia Keys, Elton John, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Bob Dylan, Justin Bieber, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Leonard Cohen, Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith, Cyndi Lauper, Rihanna and more.

Other shows in Israel planned for this summer include performances by Soundgarden, Neil Young and Paul Anka.
