(Washington, D.C., Sept. 19, 2019)—B’nai B’rith International will meet with numerous world leaders during the course of next week, on the sidelines of the opening of the 74th United Nations General Assembly session. B’nai B’rith President Charles O. Kaufman and CEO Daniel S. Mariaschin, along with other B’nai B’rith leaders and staff, will discuss Iran’s backing of terrorist organizations, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the rise in global anti-Semitism, among other issues, in these meetings.

Israel often faces singularly unfair treatment at the U.N. and that will also be a focus of these meetings. B’nai B’rith has had an exceptionally active presence at the United Nations since the body’s founding.

Engaging with heads of state and government is imperative to combating the anti-Israel animus that has become pervasive at the world body. B’nai B’rith is committed to holding the U.N. accountable to its essential founding values and aspirations.

B’nai B’rith International has advocated for global Jewry and championed the cause of human rights since 1843. B’nai B’rith is recognized as a vital voice in promoting Jewish unity and continuity, a staunch defender of the State of Israel, a tireless advocate on behalf of senior citizens and a leader in disaster relief. With a presence around the world, we are the Global Voice of the Jewish Community. Visit www.bnaibrith.org
