Help Our People Everywhere

For generations, B’nai B’rith has answered a simple but urgent call: ensuring that no member of the Jewish community is left alone or unsupported during moments of need. Project H.O.P.E. (Help Our People Everywhere) embodies that commitment, delivering dignity, connection, and sustenance to vulnerable Jewish individuals and families during Passover.

Each year, the ritual foods that define the holiday—matzah, eggs, wine or grape juice, soup, and other essentials—remain financially or logistically out of reach for far too many. Through Project H.O.P.E., B’nai B’rith International, in partnership with local Jewish family service agencies, synagogues, community organizations, and a dedicated cadre of volunteers, ensures that those facing financial hardship, medical challenges, limited mobility, or geographic barriers are still able to observe Passover with dignity, meaning, and care.

What We Do

Project H.O.P.E. mobilizes volunteers and partners to assemble and deliver kosher-for-Passover food packages to individuals and households in need. Each package is thoughtfully prepared to support both physical nourishment and the spiritual significance of the holiday.

Beyond the food itself, the deliveries offer something equally important: human connection. For many recipients—particularly seniors living alone—the visit from a volunteer is a powerful reminder that they are seen, valued, and part of a wider Jewish community.

 Community Impact

What began in Brooklyn in the late 1960s has grown into a multi-city initiative reaching communities across the Northeast and beyond. In the most recent Passover season, Project H.O.P.E. supported nearly 2,600 households, including seniors, families, assisted living residents, and group homes for individuals with disabilities.

Each year, volunteers come together in nationwide, contributing countless hours to fundraising, sourcing food, packing boxes, and delivering packages directly to doorsteps. In many locations, volunteers also work in partnership with Jewish family service agencies and synagogues to extend the program’s reach.

More than food

Every delivery brought connection, dignity, and reassurance to those who might otherwise feel alone during the holiday.

For generations, Project H.O.P.E. has ensured that seniors and families facing hardship are not left behind during Passover. Through partnerships with local agencies and synagogues—and the commitment of a dedicated cadre of volunteers—B’nai B’rith delivers more than food. We deliver presence, care, and the reassurance that no one stands alone.
