We call on Senate Republicans to lift the hold on Deborah Lipstadt’s confirmation as special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism.
Lipstadt was appointed as the Biden administration’s special envoy in July and her distinguished academic background, along with her active engagement in the fight against anti-Semitism, makes her eminently qualified for the post.
The special envoy position is vitally important to the fight against the dramatic rise in anti-Semitism globally in all of its manifestations. The hold on Lipstadt’s confirmation must be lifted quickly so she may assume the post and commence this important work.
