Read in Iton Gadol (in Spanish).

Within the framework of the U.N. General Assembly, B’nai B’rith International held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile, Antonia Urrejola.

The meeting focused on relations between Israel and Chile and issues critical to the Chilean Jewish community, including anti-Semitism.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry dismissed the recent diplomatic incident between the two countries, after the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs of Chile, Ximena Fuentes Torrijo, called the director general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Alon Usphiz, and apologized after President Boric’s refusal to receive the diplomatic credentials of Gil Artzyeli, the new Israeli ambassador to Chile.
