Jan. 31: Exploring the First Holocaust Monument Memorial Database

Nearly 80 years after the end of World War II, three research organizations have join forces to create a comprehensive inventory and history of Holocaust monuments worldwide – the total number of which is unknown.

Once completed, the “Holocaust Memorial Monuments” digital database will be a crucial resource for Shoah remembrance and education.

In our latest interview, B’nai B’rith CEO Dan Mariaschin talks with one of the lead researchers and coordinators for this initiative, Dr. Sam Gruber, about his role in this project, which was developed to collect and preserve digital documentation about Holocaust memorial monuments worldwide – including standardized mapping, photography, description, and historical research.

This recorded video interview will be available to view at your convenience after 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Facebook and YouTube.
