B’nai B’rith International is coordinating an annual marathon of meetings with world leaders attending the U.N. General Assembly next week. The series of high-level talks will be the first in New York since Hamas, Hezbollah and other Iran-backed terrorists perpetrated their unprecedented assault on Israel beginning last Oct. 7.
In its meetings, B’nai B’rith along with its communal allies will underscore the stakes of supporting Israel’s right and duty of self-defense and of securing the release of over 100 Israeli and international hostages still being brutally held in the Gaza Strip.
We will express acute concern over the advanced state of Iran’s illicit nuclear program, as well as chronic U.N. misuse against Israel by Palestinians seeking to circumvent peacemaking with the Jewish state. Additionally, dramatically intensified global anti-Semitism will be discussed.
B’nai B’rith is set apart by a longstanding, dedicated Office of United Nations Affairs. It will also again be making multiple official interventions at the U.N. Human Rights Council during its session in Geneva this month.
B’nai B’rith is distinguished by our global grassroots and has spearheaded Jewish engagement with the United Nations since 1945.
