Residents of B’nai B’rith Golden Years Apartments in North Hollywood, California, welcomed Rep. Luz Rivas (D-Calif.) on Oct. 22 for a conversation about the challenges older Americans face, from healthcare costs to the search for affordable housing.
During her visit, Rivas met with residents and answered their questions on healthcare, Social Security and housing affordability. In addition, the congresswoman toured the property, which included visiting an apartment unit, community room and backyard with a garden.
