B’nai B’rith International has joined dozens of leading Jewish organizations from Europe and around the world in signing a letter of support for Katharina von Schnurbein, the European Commission Coordinator on Combating Antisemitism and Fostering Jewish Life.

With the letter addressed to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, we reaffirm von Schnurbein’s record of leadership and reject recent unfounded criticism against her.

A Decade of Leadership

For nearly a decade, Katharina von Schnurbein has been an indispensable partner in advancing the security and dignity of Jewish communities across Europe. She has challenged the institutional inertia in addressing Jew hatred, with uncompromising clarity.

Among many accomplishments, von Schnurbein has spearheaded the European Union strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life, a landmark initiative that has brought unprecedented attention and resources to this critical issue.
