B’nai B’rith International is pleased to announce a new Memorandum of Understanding with the Azrieli Center for Israel Studies (MALI) at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
The partnership, a joint initiative of the Daniel S. Mariaschin Institute for Leadership and Public Policy of B’nai B’rith and the Azrieli Center for Israel Studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, will advance scholarly research examining the relationship between anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism, Jewish indigeneity, the processes underlying the delegitimization of Israel in the international arena and the history of B’nai B’rith and its contributions to the State of Israel.
“At a time when anti-Zionism is increasingly being used as a vehicle for anti-Semitism, rigorous academic scholarship is essential to understanding and confronting these challenges,” B’nai B’rith CEO Daniel S. Mariaschin said. “B’nai B’rith International is proud to join with the Azrieli Center for Israel Studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in this important undertaking. We are pleased this collaboration will include a major international conference, bringing together leading scholars and experts to explore these critical issues and contribute to a deeper understanding of the challenges facing Israel and the Jewish people today.”
The first research conference will be held under the partnership agreement at Ben-Gurion University’s Sde Boker Sylvan Adams campus during Hanukkah. In the coming days a call for participation in the conference will be shared with leading researchers.
