As the security situation in Israel continues to evolve, B’nai B’rith’s Israel Emergency Fund is providing targeted assistance to communities impacted across the country.

Working closely with the B’nai B’rith World Center-Jerusalem, the fund is supporting families in Beit Shemesh affected by ongoing missile attacks, including those who were evacuated after an Iranian ballistic missile struck a low-income residential neighborhood on March 1, killing nine and injuring dozens. These families now face displacement and significant hardship, with funding being directed to help meet immediate needs.

In Kiryat Shmona, amid sustained rocket and missile fire from Hezbollah and Iran, the fund is supporting children and families sheltering in seven municipal facilities by providing materials and structured activities. In addition, protective gear is being supplied to the city’s rapid response teams.

The Israel Emergency Fund will also support the development of a nature trail in memory of Capt. Elay Elisha Lugasi z”l, a 21-year-old resident of Kiryat Shmona killed in Gaza on July 3, 2024. This project reflects both remembrance and the resilience of the community.

Israeli families have long lived under constant threat. Families who had only just begun to rebuild their lives are once again in the line of fire. No one should have to live this way.

All support is being coordinated with local municipalities to ensure funds are used effectively and efficiently.

Support of the Israel Emergency Fund allows B’nai B’rith to respond quickly and directly to urgent needs on the ground, providing meaningful assistance to individuals and families facing ongoing threat and disruption. Donations are accepted here.

B’nai B’rith is actively delivering support where it is needed most, standing with communities across Israel under continued threat.
