B’nai B’rith International is pleased to announce the appointment of Tyler Baram of Long Island, New York, as the new chair of B’nai B’rith Connect, our young professional network.
As chair, Baram will lead efforts to engage the next generation of Jewish leaders through networking events, diplomatic missions, advocacy, disaster relief and global outreach programs.
“What inspires me every day is not just the legacy and place in world history of B’nai B’rith, but the opportunity it provides to those who want to make a difference,” Baram said. “Our platform for young leaders, Connect, is an incubator to nurture the future of this incredible organization and continue to create differentiated experiences. I am honored to lead Connect at this critical moment in time, and I invite young leaders who have this same passion to join us. Together, we will make a difference through our local action and global impact.”
During B’nai B’rith’s 2025 Triennial Meeting, Baram was honored with the Label A. Katz Young Leadership Award, which recognizes individuals aged 22 to 45 who have demonstrated outstanding service to B’nai B’rith and worked to achieve the goals of B’nai B’rith Connect.
Baram is an active volunteer leader within Connect, having shaped various diplomatic encounters and community service initiatives. He previously served on B’nai B’rith Connect’s Advisory Council as chair of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and as co-chair of the New York City region. In 2019, Baram represented B’nai B’rith on the annual Kakehashi Project trip to Japan, has co-led the Shabbat Across Connect program in New York City and participated in packing emergency preparedness bags for residents of the Adelstein Family-Project H.O.P.E. B’nai B’rith House in the Bronx during the holidays. Baram is also currently mentoring an Israeli student through Connect’s newest program, Chataway.
Outside of B’nai B’rith, Baram serves as marketing director for the U.S. Building, Construction & Real Estate practice at KPMG LLP. He frequently volunteers with DOROT’s intergenerational programming and serves on the executive committee of the American Cancer Society’s Financial Services Cares Gala. Baram graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Marketing.
